Oh I love a Rainy Day...

I saw a MOPS contributor post on Facebook recently different things to do with your kids on a rainy day. One in particular caught my eye, and I had been waiting for the perfect attitude and energy level day to try this with the boys!

I gave each boy a roll of toilet paper, told them to stay in the play room, and that was it. I walked away.

After I grabbed my camera, I was surprised to find there was no giant mess. Instead they were helping each other make a TP pile to jump in. When you don't have a pile of leaves, you work with what you got!
After making the pile, jumping in the pile, moving the pile, and jumping again,
The TP turned into ... CONFETTI!!!
They boys loved throwing this stuff high up into the air, and onto each other. Mid-throw, Zach exclaims, "This was the best idea EVER mom!! THANKS!" *awww*
Emily woke up just in time to partake in the fun!
She watched on as the boys buried each other in TP.
Then it was her turn! She relished taking the spot light for a bit!
Triple dog-pile? In our house, YES!
In the end, this is what the mess looked like:
And after much persuasion the brilliant idea of slam-dunking the TP into the trash can came about.... everyone helped clean up!
We had a fun 30 minutes, and a relatively painless mess! Who knew there were so many uses for toilet paper!!!
