- Cut tooth number 3. Top left middle tooth...right before Thanksgiving. The drool. Oh, the drool. And snot. My word.
- First Thanksgiving! This event also brought along first store-bought, jarred baby food. Since we spent three days in Abilene, I just bought the baby food, and Emily gagged on almost every bite. She would have nothing to do with it! So, usher in the table-food era! She enjoyed everything we did at Thanksgiving (except the Tiramisu...that was for adults!). She did so well and loved every bite!
- Santa! Even though big brother Zach, had no desire to even come within 10 yards of the big man, Emily braved the visit with Chris, and both sat for a picture! We managed to snap a picture before she turned beat red in anger. Awesome.
- Cruising! Emily now uses anything she can pull up on, to also support herself while she walks around. We have found her standing, un-supported in her crib. She will walk with ease if she is holding both of our hands, and when we drop one of her hands, she will hesitate, but still take several steps before resorting to the crawl. And, my! How that crawl is so fast! She can get any and every where now, and loves that freedom! Fortunately, she still stays out of most of the big stuff. She just looks at the Christmas tree, but still has yet to get into it, or any of the presents! Her favorite place to go is the bathroom. She chases her brothers in there often! We definitely have to keep doors closed, now!
- Talking! Emily has added a few words: "All done" and "OW!" are her favorites right now. She can say, "Da" and "Hi" still, too. "Ow" came about from all the times her brothers say, "OW!" when she hits them. They of course giggle and she thinks she is pretty darn funny. So, if you get to close, and she smacks you in the face and giggles...don't take it personally. She is picking up some pretty "fun" habits from her brothers!
- Habits! Speaking of her brothers, my lovely little dainty girl *ahem* is making the most UNlady like of noises. She sticks her finger in her mouth and blows raspberries. She smashes her hand against her lips and blows...ever done that? Do it now. Put your palm on your mouth. Blow real hard. (for those more advanced feel free to use the heels of your two palms together on your mouth...you know what I'm talking about). Yah. Nice. So, at 10 months, my daughter already knows how to make flatulent noises...real and fake. Awesome.
So, with lots of teething action going on this month, we've had a rather disgruntled, active, and improper girl on our hands this month. We wouldn't change a bit of it! She is still a bright spot in our day, and we can't imagine life without her!
