As of tomorrow, these guests will be evicted from our house. No, that's not triple-vision. There are three. As in three ear infections for three kiddos. As in all three lovely children participating in one or more of the following, in unison: coughing, sneezing, dripping, vomiting, diarrhea, gagging, and the such. It was a time of great Lysol and Kleenex. It was a time of great whining and much laundry. And, towards the end, it was a time of riding the antibiotic high that comes after taking meds.
But.
It was also a time of togetherness. It was a time of blessing. It was 10+ days of being thankful for the provision of medicine and being forced to stay home and opt out of a few activities. It was a time of snuggles. It was a time of hugs. It was the first time I truly felt the "strain" of having three children, and it was wonderful. I hated that my babies were sick, but I loved that God gave me a grateful heart to see my children not as burdens during this very needy period but as true blessings! That is definitely not my usual first reaction to stressful situations and all glory goes to Him!
That being said.
Good riddance ear infections and sickies! I'll take my blessings of my children without the germs thankyouverymuch!
