The Cast of Characters

The kids have had plenty of chances to dress up for Halloween this year!  The boys had a costume parade at their school (and Emily insisted on dressing up, too).  Our church hosted a Fall Festival complete with Trunk-or-Treating, hayrides, bounce houses, and TONS more!  The boys dress up on a fairly regular basis, but they still knew exactly what they wanted to be for this special occasion.  Oddly enough they each chose a costume that the other actually had.  Chris got a Super Why costume for his birthday...which is what Zach wanted to wear.  And Zach got a batman costume for his birthday...which is what Chris wanted to wear.  Each agreed and all parties were happy!  So, Momma was happy too!  Then a friend of mine found a $5 pumpkin costume at Target and called me from the store asking if I wanted it!  YES PLEASE!  You will see just how adorable my little pumpkin truly is! :)  So, without further ado...here is the cast of characters:

Zachary as Wyatt...aka Super Why (he has the power to read...thank you PBS)

Christopher as Batman (sometimes original, sometimes Dark Knight...depends on his mood)

Emily as Adorable-I-Could-Eat-You-Up Pumpkin!

Then there was the BIG night.  OK.  Truth be told, by tonight, we were costumed (and candied) out!  So, we excitedly sold the idea of getting to GIVE candy to other trick-or-treaters instead of going out, and the boys were totally on board!  They eagerly anticipated the trick-or-treaters for over 30 minutes.  We were actually about to give up on any kids coming by, when the rush hit.  Our candy was gone in 15 minutes!  We had a fun time dressing up and getting lots of yummy candy this year!!
